Fabiano recommended one of his sub-contractors, Ricardo, to do be the contractor that would do all the work, however Fabiano managed all of the paper required since I live in a co-op with strict policies. Firstly, Fabiano was ALWAYS prompt to respond to any every questions, text, and phone call. He we prompt in gathering together paper work (licensure & insurance) for my building board approval & and to file for city permits. I would highly recommend Fabiano and his team. The price was reasonable, and they did an excellent job. The team came exactly when promised and worked quickly but more importantly thoroughly and with attention to detail. I had experience in the past with contractors who cut corners and I did not want to repeat the experience. I was very happy the FSB team, they showed a great deal of professionalism and I did not have to stand over their shoulder watching as I had in the past. As is always the case, during the course of the job I came up with small additions (and a couple of larger ones) that I wanted doing. Fabiano either absorbed them or we agreed a reasonable price. Choosing FSB Contracting to renovate my 1500 square foot condo in White Plains was one of the best decisions I ever made. From start to finish, Fabiano, his entire team, and all the subcontractors he brought in to work on the job we're highly skilled, professional, courteous, trustworthy and extremely neat! They completely gutted and renovated my kitchen and powder room, redesigned the fireplace surround, installed beautiful hardwood floors throughout, reframed several closet doors, and painted the entire place. Cannot say enough about the wonderful work Fabiano and his guys have done for us. We had a kitchen renovation and added two new windows in the living room and dining room. To start off, we should say that we were hesitant to begin the project of finishing our basement, as we had heard many horror stories about contractors' shoddy work, incomplete projects, and an overall lack of professionalism that one desires when completing an extensive project. Having said that, Fabiano and his team were the absolute antithesis of our fears. Their amazing work and attention to detail throughout the project were noticed by almost everyone who came to see the basement in progress -- the architect requested Fabiano's information twice so he could recommend him to his clients. The work was done in installments, and done with such care that there was only one "fix" that was needed, which took all of an hour and half, over the course of a 4 month project. Furthermore, the payment process and the contract generated with Fabiano eliminated any concerns over transparency or fairness. The work was paid out in installments, and both parties signed each copy of the contract to indicate that the work had been done, and the appropriate payment made. In fact, everyone Fabiano worked with during the project went above and beyond in ensuring that we were comfortable with what was being done. An example: we bought a TV to install in the new basement after it had been completed. Fabiano offered to mount the TV for us to ensure it was safe and secure, if we didn't feel comfortable doing so ourselves. Another example: Jorge, the foreman on the project, became friends with our 2 year old son, who loves tools and "workers". Overall, and most importantly: Fabiano, his team, other employees he brought in, and absolutely everyone associated with the project completed their work with professionalism. There were no corners cut, no attempts to complete work at any less than 100% of what was expected, and no hassles whatsoever. They take immense pride in their work, and are firm believers that these finished projects demonstrate their commitment to their craft and expertise.
